Biogeochemical Analysis of Soil in Salt Marsh Zones in a Fragile Estuarine Ecosystem at Barnegat Bay, NJ

IN THIS STUDY

I analyzed seven major properties of soil samples from the low, transitional, and high salt marsh zones at Barnegat Bay, NJ. This revealed the importance of the transitional marsh zone and the fragility of coastal ecosystems as climate change progresses.

Hi! I'm a high school junior at the Marine Academy of Technology and Environmental Science (MATES). I have lived on the Jersey shore for my entire life and I have been conducting independent research for the past three years. I am involved in MATES Project Terrapin as a leader of the Outreach division and a member of the Care team. In my free time, I like running, swimming, and playing soccer.
